Vikings In SM City Bacolod!

My relatives in Metro Manila are regulars and would rave about it, posting their enviable pictures on social media. And so, when we probinsyanos first saw this Vikings logo in SM City Bacolod, there was a lot of excitement and anticipation among us. It was something that everyone I knew was looking forward to and our conversations would often touch on the question of when it will open. Well, finally people of Bacolod and Negros, PREPARE TO FEAST! Our long wait is over. This October 2015, VIKINGS SM City Bacolod will officially open!

For those who are not familiar with VIKINGS, it is luxury-buffet restaurant, now considered the largest in the Philippines. It largely serves but is not limited to seafood. For meat lovers, they have a wide range of cuisine to choose from. Most of their branches are in Metro Manila. Their first provincial branch is in SM Lanang, Davao City and now for their second branch, they have chosen to open in Bacolod, the City of Smiles!

Here are their OPENING PROMO mechanics. These will start from the day of opening (to be announced), counted as Day 1 and run up to Day 24.  For Cebu Pacific Get Go card holders, they have a special promo for the month of October until the end of November. Please take note that there are several promos for different days and are valid only at Vikings Bacolod.

• DAY 1 - DAY 3: The Mask of a Viking! (3 Days)

Mechanics are as follows:

1) During the first three days of the opening week, guest who brings a Viking themed mask will automatically get a 50% discount on his individual bill.

2) Example requirements to qualify for the 50% discount: any hand-made mask with added elements of a Viking; a cut out of the Vikings logo used as a mask; or a Viking face painting.

3) Each qualified guest will receive a discount coupon when seated; this coupon will be used to claim the 50% off discount.

4) Coupons received on the day must be consumed also within the day and time chosen (lunch or dinner). Coupons cannot be saved and used for a different day.

5) Guests availing the discount must wear the mask at all times until upon seating.

6) If reservations are full, guests may choose to come in as "walk-in" guests for the discount; subject to table availability. Listing for lunch or dinner starts as early as 10 a.m. Guests may come at their most convenient time to have their names listed on the "walk-in" list for lunch or dinner. Lunch operation starts at 11:00 am, while dinner starts at 5:30 pm.

7) Lost coupons will not be replaced.

8) Discount is applicable on a per pax/individual basis.

9) This promo can't be used in conjunction with other in-house promotions or discounts.

10) This promo only available in Vikings Bacolod.

11) This promo is valid from (to be announced).

12) Guests who has the best mask will win 2 weekday lunch Vikings Gift Certificates. One winner will be chosen every lunch and dinner. Guests will be judged before entering the store and prize will be given once inside the store.

13) Guests who doesn't wish to dress like a Viking will automatically receive a 20% discount instead.

*This promo is open to reservation and walk-in guests.

• DAY 4 - 10: Facebook Promo 25% (7 Days)

1) The Facebook fans of Vikings Bacolod are entitled to a 25% discount, whether paying in cash or card.

2) Guest must present to our staff that he/she has indeed “Liked” our Facebook page either through the guest’s smartphones or on one of our branch’s iPad.

3) This discount is only available between (to be announced).

4) This discount can’t be used in conjunction with in-house promotions or discounts.

5) This discount is available on a per pax/individual basis.

6) This discount can only be used in Vikings Bacolod.

• DAY 11 - 17: Instagram Promo 25% (7 Days)

1) The Instagram followers of Vikings Luxury Buffet are entitled to a 25% discount, whether paying in cash or card.

2) Guest must present to our staff that he/she has indeed followed our Instagram account either through the guest’s smartphones or on one of our branch’s iPad.

3) This discount is only available between (to be announced).

4) This discount can’t be used in conjunction with in-house promotions or discounts.

5) This discount is available on a per pax/individual basis.

6) This discount can only be used in Vikings Bacolod.

• DAY 18 - 24 Bacolod City Promo 20% (7 Days)

1) Employees, residents or students in the Bacolod City area will receive a 20% discount, cash or card, upon dining at Vikings Bacolod.

2) For employees in the Bacolod City, he/she must present a corporate ID with their address on it. In case the office address is not on the I.D., he/she may supplement their corporate ID with a corporate calling card or a government issued I.D.

3) For residents in the Bacolod City, he/she must present a valid and original government issued I.D.

4) For students in the Bacolod City, he/she must present a valid and original student I.D.

5) This discount applies on a per pax basis.

6) This discount can't be used in conjunction with in house promotions or discounts.

7) This discount is valid from (to be announced).

8) This discount is available only in Bacolod City.

• Get Go - Cebu Pacific Loyalty Cardholders

1) Cebu Pacific Get Go cardholders are entitled to a 15% discount on their total bill by presenting their card upon billing.

2) Valid for the month from October until the end of November 2015.

3) Only valid in Vikings Bacolod.

4) Can't be used in conjunction with other in house promotions or discounts.

Note: Contrary to perception, prices are affordable (especially for big eaters). Their website says "the luxury buffet for every juan" and rates will range from Php500++ to Php1000++ depending on the day. Discounts (promo not included) are given to children, senior citizens and pwd.
